Laurinburg, NC- The Lady Cobra Tennis take kept their post season hopes alive easily defeating the home standing Knights of St. Andrews College by a 9-0 score.

Lindsay Crighton (Florence, SC) and Cassidy Spencer (Wilkesboro, NC) started things out right for the Lady Cobras as they dominated at the No. 3 position by an 8-0 score. Rachel Lemar (London, England) and Jill Smith (Concord, NC) were close behind with an 81 win of their own. On Court No. 2 Ashley Pace (Clinton, SC) and Kendal Sigmon escaped a dog fight with an 8-6 victory giving the Lady Cobras a comfortable 3-0 lead heading into singles.

In singles, the Lady Cobras continued to roll as they won all six singles matches. The toughest match of the day came at the No. 2 position where Crighton battled through set -points and came out on top in a third set match tiebreaker 7-6 (13-11), 2-6, 11-9 to give her a 2-0 record on the day. The remaining five Lady Cobras all rolled in straight sets to secure the 9-0 shutout and helping keep their conference tournament hopes alive.

The Lady Cobras return to the courts tomorrow as they travel to take on the Blue Hose of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. Match Time is slated for 2P.M.
