Coker Dominates USC Sumter in a 11-1 Victory

In a thrilling match, Coker took down USC Sumter with an impressive 11-1 victory on October 17, 2023. The game, held at Coker Athletic Field, saw Coker's offense firing on all cylinders, while USC Sumter struggled to keep up.

Coker wasted no time in taking control of the game, scoring five goals in the first half. Chloe Mullen opened the scoring for Coker just under six minutes into the game with an unassisted goal. USC Sumter quickly responded with a goal from Makariya Rouse, but it was short-lived as Chloe Mullen scored her second goal of the game. Liz Crowe added two more goals for Coker, extending their lead to 4-1. Mallie Bates scored Coker's fifth goal of the half, assisted by Mila Rausch.

The second half saw Coker continue their dominance, scoring six more goals. Lilly Borgman, Madison Sorrel, McKayla Jones, Liz Crowe, Grier Deedrick, and Liz Crowe again all found the back of the net for Coker, with assists from Mila Rausch, Kylee Ryan, Haley Morales-Vasquez, and Rheanna Moore.

Despite their efforts, USC Sumter struggled to generate any offense, managing only two shots on target throughout the game. Milagros 'Milly' Var and Caitlyn Miller split time in goal for USC Sumter, making a total of 10 saves.

Coker, on the other hand, peppered USC Sumter's goal with a staggering 48 shots, 21 of which were on target. Daelynn Perry put in a solid performance in goal for Coker, making one save.

With this win, Coker improves their overall record to 6-7-1 and their conference record to 2-7. USC Sumter, on the other hand, falls to 1-5-2 for the season.
