Sarah Swaim Named SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University women's soccer senior goalkeeper Sarah Swaim has been named the SPC Credit Union September Student-Athlete of the Month, announced today (Wednesday, Oct. 5) by the Coker University Athletics Department. 

Swaim was able to notch three clean sheets in the month of September, helping Coker to three wins during the month. In the game against No. 9 Catawba on Sept. 28, Swaim also became the fourth goalkeeper in program history to record 300 career saves. 

This is Swaim's first career Student-Athlete of the Month honor. The Waynesville, N.C. native is the daughter of Davis and Sherry Swaim, and is a business major. 

Coker Women's Soccer (4-2-2, 2-2-0 SAC) returns to the pitch tonight to face Newberry in South Atlantic Conference action. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. from Newberry, S.C., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
