Coker Women's Soccer Adds New Recruit to 2020 Class

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker University's head women's soccer coach Garrett Linquist has announced another addition to the 2020 recruiting class.

Hannah Chu joins the Cobras as a defender from Piedmont Triad FC (PTFC).  In her time at PTFC, Hannah helped her team to multiple Final Four berths at NCYSA State Cup, in addition to playing in Region III Premier League.  In addition to her club success, Hannah has been named All-Region and All-Conference teams for Southwest Guilford HS, while helping her team win two conference championships.  Hannah was given the Leadership Award by her coaches and peers as a member of the Southwest Guilford soccer team. Hannah also has competed in swimming for Southwest Guilford, earning All-Conference honors as well.  Hannah is the daughter of John and Ruth Chu and has two siblings, older brother Mason who plays baseball at Guilford Tech CC, and younger brother Hunter.

"I am extremely excited to welcome Hannah to our program," said Linquist.  "Hannah is an intelligent player with good technical ability that will really fit in well with our style of play.  I believe Hannah will continue to grow and be a fantastic addition for us moving forward!"
