Cobras Fall Short at Wingate in SAC Contest

WINGATE, N.C.- The Coker women's soccer team fell in a close 1-0 battle on the road at Wingate on Wednesday (Oct. 5) in South Atlantic Conference play.

Farrah Brown put one shot on goal, while Shelby Middleton made 11 saves in the contest. The Cobras defense was able to contain a Wingate offense that on the season has averaged over two goals per game.

The Cobras take the field again at home on Saturday (Oct. 8) when they host the Tusculum Pioneers in South Atlantic Conference action. The match is slated for a 1:30 p.m. start at the Coker College athletic field. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
