BREVARD, N.C.- A pair of goals from Phoebie Eshen helped push Coker to its first South Atlantic Conference victory of the year as they defeated Brevard 2-1 on Saturday (Sept. 17).

Brevard struck first in the 23rd minute, before Eshen knotted the score in the 38th minute. Off a throw-in, Autumn Fetterolf fed Eshen who was able to score her first of the year. The second half was relatively calm, remaining tied well into the final 10 minutes. Eshen was able to shake a Brevard defender and beat the keeper for what would be the game-winner.

Eshen cashed in on her two of Coker's five total shots. Jordan Roy, Jessi Campos and Renee Ledesma each registered shots in the contest. Shelby Middleton (1-1) made five saves in her second win of the season.

The Cobras (2-1, 1-1 SAC) will take the pitch again on Wednesday (Sept. 21) when they travel to Newberry. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
