Cobras Take on Brevard Saturday

The Cobras women's soccer team will take on Brevard (1-2-1) in a South Atlantic Conference matchup on Saturday (Sept. 19). Coker dropped its midweek contest at Anderson 6-0, while Brevard fell to Lincoln Memorial in its conference opener. Video and live stats for the match will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

Four players have tallied one goal apiece on the year for Coker, while Batavia Mata has dished out two assists. Renee Ledesma has the team lead in points with three. Shelby Middleton has logged most of the minutes in goal, making 22 saves in four games and owning a 2.96 GAA.

Brevard is led by Caroline David and Shannon Bava, who each have tallied three points with one goal and one assist. Jocelyn Springer has played most of the time in net, making 12 saves in four games and owning a 0.82 GAA.

Kick-off is slated for 4:30 p.m. at the Coker College soccer fields. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
