Cobras Welcome Florida Tech on Saturday

The Coker women's soccer team opens up at home Saturday, September 12 when they welcome Florida Tech. Live stats and video of the match will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras face the Panthers after picking up their first win Wednesday over Greensboro. Batavia Mata, Renee Ledesma, and Jessi Campos each tallied a goal in the win, and Shelby Middleton made three saves.

The Panthers come into the matchup with a 2-1 record. This will be the fourth of five consecutive road contests to start the season for Florida Tech. Junior Aubri Williamson paces the Panthers through three games tallying four goals and two assists for 10 points. Williamson also leads the team in the shot department with 19. The Panthers will lean on senior Julia Kantor in goal, she has allowed two goals in three games and has a goals against average of 0.67.

The contest will be the third straight non-conference matchup for Coker. Game time is set for 4 p.m. at the Coker College soccer fields. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
