Lenoir-Rhyne Defeats Coker 3-0

HICKORY, N.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost 3-0 to Lenoir-Rhyne Wednesday (Sept. 25) night in a South Atlantic Conference game. 

The Bears jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute of the first half, after forward Leah Mullins snuck the ball through the reaching fingertips of Coker goalkeeper Lizz Morris

Lenoir-Rhyne continued the offensive pressure when they scored two more goals late in the second half to take a 3-0 advantage.

Coker was able to land six shots between the pipes, but could not manage a score.  Cassie Callahan and Bailey Van Order led the Cobra offense with two shots on goal each. 

The Cobras will be on the road again for their fourth consecutive away contest, as they travel to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Queens in another conference match up.  The game is slated for a 5:00 PM start time.
