Cobras Hoping to Stall Flying Fleet

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team will host the Flying Fleet of Erskine College in a Conference Carolinas match-up on Saturday (Oct. 13).  The match will be video streamed live online and can be viewed at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras are coming off a tough 1-0 loss at Belmont Abbey, but have not lost a home competition since September 6th.  Since then, the Cobras have out-scored their opponents 9-4 at home.

Coker will be anticipating another strong performance from sophomore goalkeeper Liz Morris, who currently ranks second in the nation with 114 saves.  Kelley Godbout continues to lead the offense with six goals on the year, while senior Sarah Rountree and sophomore Millie Rodgers showcase their defensive skills by allowing only four goals at home since September 6th.

Erskine is coming off a 1-0 loss to Belmont Abbey, and is currently sitting at 3-4 in the conference.

The competition is scheduled to commence at 4:30 p.m., at the Coker College soccer field.
