Coker Falls to Pfeiffer, 3-1

Coker Falls to Pfeiffer, 3-1

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost their second Conference Carolinas game of the season to Pfeiffer University on Saturday (Sept. 22).

Coker struggled defensively in the first half giving up early goals, and allowing Pfeiffer to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.

The Cobras picked up the pace in the second half when forward Jenna Pacyna sent a textbook cross that was controlled by Kelley Godbout, and fired into the Pfeiffer cage for the first Cobra goal of the day.  With just 15 minutes left in the game, Coker had closed the gap to a score of 2-1.

A late goal from Pfeiffer's Aaliyah Jackson put the Falcons back up two goals, and proved to be too much of a deficit for the Cobras to overcome so late in the game.

Coker will return home after a three game road stand, to host Converse College on Wednesday (Sept. 26).  The game is set to kick-off at 6 p.m.
