Coker Women Fall to Converse 3-0

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Coker women's soccer team dropped their Conference Carolinas match to Converse College on Wednesday by a score of 3-0.

It was closely contested match that saw Coker with several opportunities to score, but the Cobras were unable to capitalize. In the end Converse narrowly outshot the Cobras 22-16. 

Haley Gibson (Chesterfield, S.C.) made seven saves on the night, while Converse's Katie Wasylko had 11 saves.

Emily Morrow  (Columbia, S.C.) and Cassie Callahan (Fayetteville, N.C.) led the Cobra attack with five shots each.

The Converse goals were scored by Kristen Headden, Jana Gentry and Samantha Barron.

Coker will take the field again on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. when they take on the Limestone Saints in a Conference Carolinas match.
