HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Coker College wrestler Chris Poland has been named the SPC Credit Union Student-Athlete of the Month for December. 

The junior out of Hastings, Michigan kicked off the month with a pair of wins at the Newberry Duals against Bellarmine University and Southeastern University. Poland followed that up with an impressive showing at the prestigious Midwest Classic, bouncing back from a first round loss to pick up three consecutive victories and advance to the second day.

Chris is a communications major and is the son Hope Middlemiss and Wade and Lori Poland.
