INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Coker College wrestling team wrapped up competition at the Midwest Classic hosted by the University of Indianapolis on Saturday (Dec. 16) and had five members collect victories throughout the day.

Diamonte Perry earned a tight 8-6 decision in his consolation round one victory over a Maryville University opponent. Michael Milam also jumped in the winners column with his 14-3 major decision. In the consolation bracket, Jordon Garlow fought for a 6-2 decision over his King opponent. Tyvon Leacock started his day with a 6-3 decision over a West Liberty wrestler.

Luis Peguero highlighted the day for the Cobras, earning two victories. Peguero began the day with a decision over Augustana and a pin against West Liberty in the final seconds (6:58). With his two victories, Peguero advances to day two of the tournament.

Day two of the Midwest Classic begins at 10:00 a.m. EST.
