Coker Slated Seventh in Super Region Two

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker wrestling team is slated seventh in the latest Super Region Two poll, released today.

Coker's last action came last Wednesday (Jan. 20) when they gutted out a 17-16 dual victory over ECAC foe Limestone. 

Individually, four Cobras are ranked within their weight classes. Senior Charlie Huff is ranked fifth at 125 after winning by decision 6-3 at Limestone. Huff is 20-8 on the year with four wins by fall and four wins by major decision. Fellow senior Derrick Nelson is ranked second at 133, after picking up his fifth tech fall in last Wednesday's victory. The senior is 21-3 on the year with seven wins by fall. Freshman Jordon Tague is ranked second at 149, after picking up a thrilling 14-10 win in the dual match. The freshman is 18-4 with six wins by fall. Senior Rashad Cunningham rounded out the ranked Cobras, cracking the top six at 157. Cunningham dropped a 3-2 decision in the dual match. Cunningham is 12-4 on the year with six wins by decision.

At the Super Region 2 Duals this weekend (Jan. 29-30), Coker will face King Friday night at 6:00 p.m. and Ashland at 8:00 p.m. On Saturday, the Navy and Gold will grapple with Emmanuel at 11:00 a.m., Tiffin at 1:00 p.m. and Anderson at 3:00 p.m.
