Coker's Tague Named ECAC DII Rookie Wrestler of the Month

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College wrestler Jordon Tague has been selected as the inaugural Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DII Rookie Wrestler of the Month for November, the league office announced today.

The freshman got his collegiate career off to a phenomenal start posting a tournament championship, a victory in his first dual match and a third place finish. Tague won the 149-pound weight class of the 2015 UNC Pembroke Braves Classic by defeating returning All-American and nationally ranked No. 4 Scott Bosak of Belmont Abbey. He also posted a perfect 4-0 record at the tournament. He then earned a win in Coker's dual match with St. Andrews, and then capped off the month with a third place finish at the King Open. He finished the month with a 10-1 record overall, with three wins by fall.

Tague is currently ranked No. 3 in Super Region 2 at the 149-pound division.

A pre-pharmacy major from Winter Springs, Fla., he is the son of Jill Tague.
