HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker wrestling team will travel to Newberry College on Saturday (Jan. 25) for the Super Region Two Duals. The Cobras will take the mat against some of the best teams in the region and the nation beginning at 9 a.m.

The first match of the day will pit Coker against regionally ranked No. 11 Tiffin at 9 a.m. Coker will then square off against the No. 7 team from Region 1 Shippensburg at noon, followed by a match against regionally ranked No. 8 Findlay at 3 p.m. The Cobras will wrap-up the tournament against nationally ranked No. 11 Indianapolis at 4:30 p.m.

Leading the way for the Cobras will be the trio of Charlie Huff, Kevin Thompson and Austin Akins. All three are tied for the team lead in wins at 18. Huff is ranked No. 8 in Region 2 at the 133-pound division, while Akins is ranked No. 6 in Region 2 in the 285-pound division. Thompson will be looking to add to his team leading pin total of eight in the 149-pound division.
