Strong Second Half not Enough, Cobras Fall to Pioneers

GREENVILLE, TENN.- Coker women's lacrosse dropped its South Atlantic Conference game to Tusculum 14-10 on Saturday (April 9).

The Cobras trailed 9-4 at half and 13-7 with under 15 minutes remaining in the game. Coker responded with three straight goals from Claudia Jenkins, Cierra Davis and Jenkins again to cut the deficit to 13-10. Mackenzie Baker totaled four goals in the ball game, along with Jenkins's three. Faith Kent, Davis and Haley McCusker all scored once in the loss. Cassie Dodge (6-6) made 10 saves in the contest. 

The Cobras will take the field again on Wednesday (April 13) when they travel to Chowan for a non-conference game. Opening draw is set for 3:00 p.m.
