Cobras to Battle Warriors in Midweek Matinee

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's lacrosse(4-2, 1-2 SAC) will host Merrimack College on Tuesday (Mar. 22) in a non-conference matchup. 

The Cobras last played on March 16 when they defeated Newberry in conference play on the road 7-6. Mackenzie Baker notched a hat trick in the contest in her return to the starting lineup, while Faith Kent added two goals of her own along with Claudia Jenkins and Haley McCusker each finding the back of the net once.

Freshman attack Faith Kent paces the Cobras offense, leading the team in goals with 23 and points with 29. The freshman's goals total is good for sixth in the conference while her points total puts her tied for eighth. Cassie Dodge is also fourth in the conference in save percentage at 42.9%. 

The Warriors are 2-3 on the year and 0-2 in Northeast-10 play.  Amber Feminella leads the Warrior offense having tallied 21 goals and one assist through five games. In the cage they will lean on Alexa Petzold who has started all five games and made 22 saves.

Opening draw is set for 4:00 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
