Cobras Fall to Bears in SAC Opener

HICKORY, N.C.- Coker women's lacrosse dropped its South Atlantic Conference opener on Sunday (Mar. 6) at Lenoir-Rhyne 13-2.

Claudia Jenkins and Lindsay Ordemann each scored for Coker, Jenkins in first half and Ordemann late in the second. Jenkins found the back of the net to cut into a four-goal deficit with 9:38 remaining in the half, while Ordemann netted her first goal of the season with 1:46 remaining in the game.

Cassie Dodge took the loss in the contest. The freshman backstop made 10 saves in the loss. As a team Coker had a 9-8 advantage on draw controls in the game, as well as logging 19 shots, 14 of them on goal.

The Cobras are back in action on Monday (Mar. 7) when they travel to Truett-McConnell. Opening draw is set for 2:00 p.m.
