Four Cobras Named WGCA All-American Scholars

FULL WOMEN'S GOLF COACHES ASSOCIATION RELEASE

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Four members of the Coker University women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, recently announced by the organization.

Haylie George, Katie Smith, Jenna Werle and Jordan White each earned the individual honor for Coker. A minimum grade point average of 3.50 is required for the award, with the organization recognizing 1,493 student-athletes in total. 

This is George's first career All-American Scholar honor. The Pittsboro, N.C. native is the daughter of Oliver and Michelle George, and is a chemistry major. 

This is Smith's third career All-American Scholar honor. The Murrells Inlet, S.C. native is the daughter of Jay and Sherri Smith, and is an elementary education major. 

This is Werle's first career All-American Scholar honor. The Cocoa, Fla. native is the daughter of Matt and Karla Werle, and is a criminology major. 

This is White's third career All-American Scholar honor. The Myrtle Beach, S.C. native is the daughter of Mandee White, and graduated from Coker with a bachelor's degree in communications.
