Women's Golf Completes Round One of World Golf Invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL- The Coker University women's golf team completed round one of the World Golf Invitational at the Slammer and Squire competing against several nationally-ranked opponents.  

 

Jenna Werle shot an 82 (+10), shooting for par on 12 holes and birding hole five. Werle shot just one over through her first eight holes. Jordan White shot an 87 (+15), parring seven holes. Haylie George also shot an 87 (+15) on the day while parring seven holes. Lora Ledbetter shot a 93 (+21), shooting for par on four holes and making one birdie. 

 

"It was just a tough day out there all the way around. The temperatures never got out of the forties and it was misting rain..I'm proud of them for battling through all of that adversity today," said head coach John Hackney. "The bright spot on the day was that we were just 7 over on the par 3s."
