Women's Golf Finishes Fifth at Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational

Coker was led by junior Katie Smith, who posted a round of 76 (+4). Smith would also record two birdies during her round, placing 16th individually in the field. Lora Ledbetter would finish tied for 19th, shooting a 78 (+6) in round two. Freshman Lindsay Cote finished tied for 35th, carding a score of 82 (+10). Senior Jordan White shot a 79 (+7) and finished tied for 41st. Freshman Kelly Campman recorded an 85 (+13), finishing tied for 52nd.

The Cobras posted a team score of 327 (+27) placing them in fifth place amongst the field of 17 teams.

"The ladies played well and posted their best round in two years at 315," said head coach John Hackney. "It was nice to finish fifth of 17 teams to build momentum for the spring. It was also awesome to see us roll in 11 birdies. Katie had another rough start today and was four-over through three holes, but played brilliantly from there, shooting even over her last 15. She rolled in a great 20-foot slider for birdie on 17 to tie her collegiate-best at 76. Lora hit the ball very well and birdied three of the four par 5s for a 78. Jordan had a nice comeback today, firing a 79, while Lindsay equaled her 82 and Kelly shot a collegiate low of 85. It was a good day all around. Both Katie and Laura finished in the top 20. We have a fun group, so I can't wait to see how much better we are by spring!"

This concludes the 2021 women's golf fall season.
