Women's Golf Wraps Up Play at the Savannah Lakes Invitational

MCCORMICK, S.C. - The Coker University women's golf team wrapped up play at the Savannah Lakes Invitational at the Monticello Golf Course on Tuesday (Sept. 28).

The Cobras shaved three strokes off their day one score with a team mark of 324, their best team total of the fall season.

Lora Ledbetter paced the Cobras turning in an 80 on the day, while Jordan White and Maggie Jennings-Campbell each recorded an 81 in the round. Lindsay Cote posted an 82 in the round, while Katie Smith also turned in an 84 on the day.

"We are nowhere near where we think we should be at this point, but we are making steady progress," said head coach John Hackney. "All of the ladies hit some good shots today and no one went super high. We just need to keep working and stay mentally sharp and good things will happen. They are really fun to work with, and very dedicated, so we will surprise our competition at some point."
