Coker's Luna Earns Second Team All-SAC Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Coker College women's golfer Angela Luna has been named to the South Atlantic Conference women's golf all-conference team, the league office announced today.

Luna, a second team selection, was Coker's top performer this season, posting a season scoring average of 78.6 through 16 rounds this season. If the season were to end today, Luna's scoring average would be the lowest in Coker women's golf history, besting Taylor Demby's 79.19 scoring average during the 2014-15 season.

Luna has finished inside the top-25 in all eight events so far this season, highlighted by one top-five showing and three top-10 finishes. Her fourth-place finish at the Cutter Creek Invitational is her top finish of the season, while her low round of 74 came during the first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial Invitational.

She is a business major from Bogota, Colombia. She is the daughter of Adelmo Luna and Rita Cortes.

Luna will tee it up along with the Navy and Gold beginning on Sunday (Apr. 9) at the three-day, 54-hole, South Atlantic Conference Championship at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
