Cobras Capture Coker Women's Invitational Title

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a final round team score of 311 to win the Coker Women's Invitational. After an opening round of 337, the Cobras improved by 26 strokes to finish with a 648 tournament total and the eight-shot win. 

Bella Harris led the way on day two for the Navy and Gold. Harris fired a final round of 76 to finish in a tie for fourth individually, with a 160 two-round score. Taylor Mayers rebounded after an opening round of 84 with a final round score of 77. She finished in sixth with a tournament score of 161. Angela Luna signed off on rounds of 82 and 81 in the 36-hole event to finish in a tie for seventh individually. Amber Winburn made the biggest jump of the day, shooting a final round of 78, a 10-shot improvement from her opening round. She finished in a tie for 12th on the individual leaderboard. Kelli Smith shot a final round of 80 to finish with a tournament score of 167, which was good enough for 15th place on the individual leaderboard. Individually, Ana Orlov and Taylor Gaskins signed off on rounds of 87 on day two. Orlov finished with a 171 tournament score, while Gaskins finished at 178.

Paula Oviedo took home the individual title. She shot rounds of 77 and 76.

The Cobras will be back in action on Monday (Mar. 20) for the Wingate Lady Bulldog Intercollegiate.
