Cobras Capture Fourth at Cutter Creek Invitational; Luna Takes Fourth Individually

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a second round score of 322 on day two of the Cutter Creek Invitational to claim fourth place with a team score of 643. 

Angela Luna continued to pace the Navy and Gold, firing a round of 77 and finishing with a tournament score of 152. Her two-day total was good enough to finish in fourth place individually. Bella Harris carded a round of 79 on day two, finishing with a tournament total of 161 and in a tie for 19th position. Kelli Smith signed off on a round of 83 on day two, finishing in a tie for 27th at 164. Amber Winburn shot her second-straight round of 83, leaving her in a tie for 31st individually. Ana Orlov rounded things out for the Cobras, shooting a round of 89 on day two and finishing in 40th position with a tournament score of 174.

UNC Pembroke took home the team title with a tournament score of 621. Kaitlyn Gribbon of Belmont Abbey College took home the individual medalist title, thanks to back-to-back rounds of 73.

The Cobras will have the next couple weeks off, not hitting the links for tournament play until Sept. 26-27, when they head to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Hilton Head Lakes Intercollegiate.
