Cobras Gear Up for SAC Championship Tournament

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team is set to make the short trip to Monroe Country Cub in Monroe, N.C. for the South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship beginning on Sunday (Apr. 10). The three-day tournament will run through Tuesday (Apr. 12).

The Cobras finished seventh in last year's championship tournament, after finishing second in 2014.

Angela Luna leads the way for the Navy and Gold. She has one top-five finish and two top-ten showings to go along with an 80.3 scoring average. Bella Harris comes in with an 84 scoring average and her round of 75 at the SAC Preview; which was played at Monroe CC, is the lowest round of the year for the Cobras. Harris also has one top-ten to her credit. Ana Orlov and Taylor Gaskins are next with season scoring averages of 85.9 and 86.7, with Orlov notching one top-ten finish. Margaret Mills rounds out the traveling five for the Cobras. She has a scoring average of 89.5 so far this season.

Coker will be paired with Lenoir-Rhyne and Anderson in the opening round. Mills tees off at 9:15 a.m., Orlov at 9:24 a.m., Gaskins at 9:33 a.m., Harris at 9:42 a.m. and Luna at 9:51 a.m. All tee times on day one will tee of hole one at the Monroe Country Club.
