HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's golf team members Taylor Demby and Angela Luna have been named to the South Atlantic Conference all-conference teams, the league office announced today. Demby earned All-SAC first team honors, while Luna was an All-SAC honorable mention selection.
Demby, a junior from Chesterfield, S.C., has played in all seven of the tournaments the Cobras have participated this season compiling a 78.5 season scoring average. She finished in the top 10 in four of the seven tournaments including a runner-up showing at the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational. Her lowest round of the season came during the second round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate where she shot an even-par round of 72, which is a Coker women's golf record. This is the third consecutive season Demby has been named to an All-Conference team
Taylor is a communication major. She is the daughter of Gregg and Angela Demby.
Luna, a freshman from Bogota, Colombia has played in 12 of the 13 rounds the Navy and Yellow have played this season. She has posted a 78.9 scoring average this season. She has notched three top-15 finishes so far in her debut season. Her best finish was a tie for eighth place at the Etowah Intercollegiate. Her low round of 74 also came during the second round of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate.
Angela is a business major. She is the daughter of Adelmo Luna and Rita Cortes.
