Women’s Golf in Eleventh After Day One at Patsy Rendleman Invitational

SALSISBURY, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team is in eleventh place after day one of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational after an opening round team score of 324.

The Cobras were led by freshman Angela Luna who fired a 77 in the opening 18-holes. Junior Taylor Demby and senior Mallory Thompkins finished with rounds of 80 and 82 on day one. Sophomore Taylor Gaskins came in next with an opening day 85. Margaret Mills rounded out the traveling five with a round of 95.

Converse College is atop the team leaderboard after an opening team round of 305. Anthea Gnielinkski of Catawba College and Marianna Monaco of Newberry College are tied for the individual leader with rounds of even-par 72.

Tee times will begin tomorrow morning (Oct. 14) at the Country Club of Salisbury.
