Cobras in Sixth After Day One of Pinehurst Challenge

PINEHURST, N.C. – After day one of the Wingate Pinehurst Challenge, the Coker women's golf team sits in sixth place with a team score of 342 after 18-holes of play. 

Leading the way for the Cobras is Mallory Thompkins with a team low of 81 after the first round.  Thompkins' score has her tied for ninth place on the individual score sheet for the tournament.  Tensley Clowser and Amber Harman are next for Coker, with scores of 86 and 87 respectively, while Krista Thorpe is close behind with an 88.  Taylor Demby is next for Coker with a first round score of 90.

Armstrong is currently in first place, with a team score of 315. 

Coker will complete the final round of play on Monday (Mar. 24) morning.
