Women’s Golf Lands Mills and Schoener

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker women's golf coach Danny Allen has announced two additions to his 2014-15 recruiting class. Meg Mills and Samantha Schoener have both agreed to join the Cobras beginning in the fall of 2014.

"Meg and Samantha are two outstanding young ladies that will give us depth and talent within our women's program," said Allen. "Meg is a winner; she has won eight of the nine junior events she has entered since 2012. Samantha is a natural born leader that can step in and help us right away. Both players will help us compete at a new level."

Mills is from Lexington, Ky., where she attends Henry Clay High School. She is a four-year letterwinner in golf and was selected as captain her senior year. Mills was a Kentucky Golf Coaches Association all-region selection in 2012.

Meg is the daughter of Tom and Kim Mills.

Schoener is from Myrtle Beach, S.C. She plays golf for Carolina Forest High School while attending Early College High School. Schoener was named team captain her senior year and led Carolina Forest to the state tournament. She also represented the South team in the North/South all-star tournament.

Samantha is the daughter of Renee and Travis Roberson and Jim Schoener.
