MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker women's golf team completed the final round of the 2011 Myrtle Beach Invitational hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne on Tuesday, finishing in 16th place.
UNC Pembroke took home the championship, with Tusculum coming in second and Tarleton State finishing third.
Mallory Thompkins (Georgetown, S.C.) led the way for the Cobras in round too with an 83 (+11), followed by Krista Thorpe (Bracebridge, Ontario) with an 84 (+12). Sara Allen (Fort Mill, S.C.) fired a 90 (+18) and Caroline Dula (Salisbury, N.C.) shot a 93 (+21).
The Cobras next tournament will be their final of the fall season. They will travel to Salisbury, N.C. to play in the Patsy Rendelman Invitational hosted by Catawba College on Oct. 17-18.
