Women's Basketball Drops Conference Contest to Lincoln Memorial on Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Coker University women's basketball dropped its South Atlantic Conference tilt to visiting Lincoln Memorial on Saturday (Feb. 5) by a score of 72-56.

Ashauntee Nelson led the Cobras with 14 points in the game, while Saquita Joyner added 12 and Hope Richardson contributed 11. Five other Cobras scored in the game. Richardson led the way in the rebounding effort with seven boards, while Joyner finished with six. Seven other Cobras were active on the glass in the game. Joyner and Nelson each dished out two assists in the game, while Abigail Keesling, Dasia Lambert and Ahlea Myers each helped on one Coker bucket. Joyner registered a team-high three steals in the game, while Nelson, Valicia Demeritte and Mya Wasswa each had one. Joyner posted two blocks in the game, while Keesling and Nelson also had one apiece.

The Cobras return to the floor on Monday (Feb. 7) to travel to UVA Wise in South Atlantic Conference action. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. from Wise, Va., with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
