Women's Basketball Falls at No. 23 Wingate Wednesday Night

WINGATE, N.C. - Coker University women's basketball fell at No. 23 Wingate Wednesday night (Jan. 26) by a score of 83-40.

Abigail Keesling led the Cobras with 10 points, while Saquita Joyner added seven points. Six other Cobras scored in the game. Hope Richardson and Joyner each pulled down a team-high four rebounds, while Ashauntee Nelson, Dasia Lambert and Haley McClure each grabbed three rebounds. Six other Cobras were active on the glass in the game. Lambert and Ahlea Myers each dished out two assists in the game, while Keesling, Joyner, Jaiha Williams and McClure each helped on one Coker bucket. Lambert led the effort with two steals on the night, while Joyner, Myers, Diamond Jackson, McClure and Mya Wasswa each registered one. Richardson, Jackson and Wasswa each posted one block in the game.

The Cobras return to action on Saturday (Jan. 29) to host Anderson in South Atlantic Conference play. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m. from the DeLoach Center, with video and live stats available at www.cokercobras.com.
