Cobras Drop Tight Contest to Indians

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Coker College women's basketball team fell to the Catawba Indians 55-52 Wednesday (Jan. 10) evening in South Atlantic Conference action. 

Janea Williams recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Hayley Kropp chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Kropp and Williams were key in building a 23-11 lead early in the second quarter, scoring a combined 14 points during the run. 

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Jan. 13) when they take on Anderson University at the DeLoach Center. Opening tip is set for 2 p.m.
