HARTSVILLE, S.C.—The Limestone College women’s basketball team defeated Conference Carolinas rival Coker College 76-40 on Monday night. The Saints climb to 14-10 overall and 12-7 in conference as the Lady Cobras slip to 3-21 overall and 2-17 in the conference. 

Tia Williams (Dacula, Ga.) led the Saints with 15 points as she was 4-5 from long range and 3-4 in free-throws. Williams also had 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Maria Young (Asheville, N.C.) scored 14 points as she also shot 4-5 from long range. She recorded 6 rebounds and a game-high 7 assists. Ashley Robinson (Whittier, N.C.) had 12 points and 2 blocks. Whitney Todd (New Albany, Ind.) posted 8 points and 6 boards, as Brittany Miller (Indianapolis, Ind.) had 6 rebounds and 9 points.
 
Coker’s Henna Koponen (Vantaa, Finland) led her team with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Cassie Kirby (Charlottesville, Va.) scored 11 points.
 
The Saints shot 59.9% from behind the arc (11-for-19) and 50% overall (29-for-58). Limestone out-rebounded Coker 41-for-20. The visitors took advantage of offensive rebounds with 13 second-chance points.
 
The Lady Cobras were 15-for-49 in field-goal attempts (30.6%) and 2-for-11 in 3-pointers (18.2%).
 
Coker takes to the road for their next game on Saturday at Queens University of Charlotte, while Limestone travels to Belmont, N.C., to face Belmont Abbey. Tip-off for both games is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
