MISENHIEMER, N.C. – The Pfeiffer University women’s basketball team reached the century mark with a 100-73 win over the Coker Lady Cobras on Monday night in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action. The Falcons had six players score in double figures to keep them undefeated in conference play at 5-0 and 5-5 overall, while Coker falls to 2-8 overall and 1-4 in the conference.

Pfeiffer’s Jamila Harris (Danville, Va.) led all scorers with 24 points and five rebounds, with Charlotte Fuller (Moorestown, N.J.) and Domonique China (Durham, N.C.) each had 15 points with Fuller grabbing eight rebounds and China pulling down seven. Brittany Cox (Winston-Salem, N.C.) added 12 points, while Kellie Rodney (Catawba, N.C.) and Christina Harvey (Locust Grove, Va.) had 11 and 10 points respectively. Devona Knight (Woodbridge, Va.) nearly gave the Falcons their seven player in double figures and came just short of a double-double, scoring nine points with 11 rebounds.

Coker was led by Henna Koponen’s (Vantaa, Finland) 19 points and six rebounds, while Jasmine Alston (Sumter, S.C.) had 17 points and five rebounds. Lotta Aaltonen (Rauma, Finland) had 15 points and four rebounds to help the Lady Cobras.

Pfeiffer dominated the floor, including scoring 44 points in the paint, while shooting 58.7 percent from the field, compared to Coker’s mire 35.6 percent from the floor.

Coker  and Pfeiffer both return to action on Wednesday, when  the Falcons travel to Barton College and the Lady Cobras host Mount Olive College.  Both games are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. tip-offs.
