Hartsville, SC- The Limestone Saints had four players score in double figures to lead them to a 69-56 victory over the Coker Cobras on Monday night in collegiate basketball. Limestone’s (5-9, 4-3 CVAC) Shelly Robinson, Lindsay Kyle, Ariel Lyons and Addie Graves each dropped double figures on the Cobras (3-11, 1-6 CVAC) who only had three score ten or more; Lotta Aaltonen, Temeca Spain and Henna Koponen.

 

Limestone took an early lead thanks to Coker’s shooting woes, the Cobras shot just 21.9 percent from the field, and took a 32-23 lead into the half. The Cobras improved in the second half, shooting 37.8 percent, but in the end it was not enough to overcome Limestone.

 

Coker’s Aaltonen led all scorers with 15 points and five rebounds, while Spain had 13 points and seven rebounds. Koponen finished the game with 10 points and nine boards.

 

For Limestone, Robinson and Kyle each scored 14 points with two rebounds, while Graves had 12 points and five rebounds. Lyons was the fourth Saint in double figures with 10 points and five rebounds. Blanca Gonzalez scored eight points and had an outstanding 14 rebounds.

 

Coker’s next game comes on Wednesday, as they travel to St. Andrews Presbyterian College. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
