ANDERSON, S.C. -- The No. 9 Anderson College Lady Trojans place five players in double figures on their way to a 92-66 rout of Coker in a CVAC game Monday night at the Abney Center.

Anderson, 18-2 overall and 9-1 in the CVAC, ran its winning to eight. The loss drops Coker to 6-12, 2-8.

Anderson, ranked No. 4 in the East Region poll, was led by LaShonda Chiles with 21 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and five steals. Chiles, a sophomore from Greenwood, S.C., needs just nine points to become the fourth Lady Trojan to reach 1,000 career points.

Stephanie Ponds added 19 points, 11 rebounds, and six blocks for Anderson to record her 10th double-double of the season. Deidra Langston recorded her fourth straight double-double and her seventh of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Deanna Thompson chipped in 16 points and five assists and Latrice Thomas, who was 8-for-8 from the free throw line, contributed 12 points.

Michelle Glover scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Coker and Shamae Hemingway added 18 points and five boards.

Midway through the first half, Coker led 18-17, but in the next 20 minutes, Anderson went on a 49-27 run for a 66-45 lead with 10:08 to play.

Anderson's largest lead of 30 points -- 92-62 -- came at the 2:04 mark on a basket by Thomas.

Turnovers were a major factor. Anderson scored 35 points off 27 Coker turnovers.

Anderson outscored Coker by 11 points at the free throw line and won the boards, 47-41.

Anderson shot 46 percent from the field to 39 percent for Coker.

In the last 36 games the Lady Trojans score 80 or more points, they are 36-0. During its current eight-game winning streak, Anderson has scored 90 or more points six times.

Anderson is now 11-0 this season against schools from the state of South Carolina.
