HARTSVILLE, SC — Coker’s two game winning streak ended at Pfeiffer University Monday night with a 54-51 loss in women’s basketball.  The Falcons overcame an off shooting night by connecting on 15-20 free throws and out-rebounding CC 48-36.

Coker led 28-23 at the break but couldn’t hold onto their advantage down the stretch.  Pfeiffer shot only 30 percent compared to the Cobras 36 percent shooting but grabbed 20 offensive rebounds for 12 second chance points to make up the difference.

Freshman Tyesha Ervin/Darlington, SC led Coker with 16 points and India Elliott/Faison, NC added 13 points and three assists.  Senior Shamae Hemingway/Conway, SC had an off night shooting with seven points and eight rebounds but broke the program’s all-time scoring record, which she tied in Saturday’s victory over Limestone.

The Cobras play their last home game of the year on Thursday, February 24, at 5:30 against Barton College.
