Men’s Track and Field wrap up at the Electric City Invitational

Anderson, SC- Men's Track and Field headed to Anderson for the Electric City Invite where they competed over two days of competition. Coker had some great finishes as they set their eyes on the South Atlantic Conference Championships in the short future.

Aaron Hughes was the Cobras' top finisher today with a 9th-place finish in both the 100-meter sprint and 200-meter sprint with times of 10.75 and 22.16. Gary Simpkins took 10th in the 200 just missing Hughes clocking in a 22.18.  They were followed up by Jeffrey Stiles and Kristoffer Persen with both of them hitting times of 11.04 and 11.06. William Frazier was the only competitor on Friday for the Cobras as he took 25th in the Javelin throw with a distance of 28.45 meters. Coker's 4x100 team took 7th with a time of 42.36. Donovan Jones and Zaccaeus Beasley both clocked in times of 11.34 and 11.73 in the 100. Phillip Davis took on the one-lap race and hit a time of 57.48. Josh Zeigler ran the 1500 and hit the line with a 4:48.96 clocked-in. Michael Early threw 12.42 in the shot put and took 17th place in his event.  Phillip Davis clocked in a 57.48 in the 400. Jeremiah Harris, and Zaccaeus Beasley both hit times of 22.59 and 24.67.
