Cobras Conclude Competition at Coastal Carolina Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker College men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Coastal Carolina Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 12).

In the triple jump, Attiyyah Shakir came in 17th place, after posting a distance of 11.63 meters.

In the 110-meter hurdles, Coker had three runs place in the top 20, led by the 14th place showing by Naim Fareed. Fareed ran a time of 15.44. Paul Taylor II came in 16th with a time of 15.61, while Derrian Moreau came in 19th with a time of 15.88.

In the 400-meter dash, Ryan Archibold came in 16th place with a time of 50.53, while Jarrell Mumford finished in 20th place with a time of 50.69.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Fareed notched a fourth place showing, running a time of 54.41. Taylor came in seventh, finishing the race in 56 seconds, while Anthony Clontz came in 13th place with a time of 57.87.

The team of Archibold, Clontz, Mumford and Fareed finished in sixth in the 4x400 relay to round things out for the Navy and Gold. They ran a time of 3:26.59.

The Cobras will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 19) when they travel to Hickory, N.C. for the Lenoir-Rhyne Power Box Invitational. Competition is set for 9:30 a.m.
