Coker Completes Day Two of the Shamrock Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Coker men's track & field team took part in the final day of action at the Shamrock Invitational on Saturday (Mar. 21) at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Joshua Morris led the Cobras on the day with a sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash and a time of 23.18 seconds.

Cole McDowell also picked up a pair of top 25 finishes in the long jump and triple jump. He placed 11th in the long jump with a distance of 5.46 meters and a 22nd place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 12.45 meters.

Rounding out the Cobras that competed in the final day at the Shamrock were Brandon Gambrell, Evan Alcorn and Nick Mascardo. Gambrell placed 25th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.00 seconds, while Alcorn came in 28th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.20 and Mascardo placed 28th in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:15.

Coker will return to action on Friday (Mar. 27) when it travels to the Weems Baskin Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.
