Cobras Fall On The Road to USC Beaufort

The Coker University Softball team traveled to Hardeeville, SC to face USC Beaufort in their final non-conference game of the year.

Game 1

In game one, Coker would jump out to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the 3rd, thanks to a two-RBI triple off the bat of Cameron Jackson, and an RBI single from Caitlyn Wray that would score Jackson. Wray would cap off a 2 for 4 afternoon in the top of the 7th with a solo home run. Jackson would finish her afternoon 3 for 4 with a stolen base on the afternoon. Kelsi Scott would also go 2 for 4 in the afternoon. The bottom of the order of Kelsey Gollie, Sarah Bryant, & Mya Cribbs would also contribute with hits of their own in game one.

Game 2

In game two, Caitlyn Wray would homer in the bottom of the fourth providing the Cobras lone run of the contest. Ashton Goodwin, Kelsi Scott, Delaney Eaves, Ashton Goodwin, & Julie Hilliard all picked up hits for the Cobras.

Up Next For Coker

Coker will return home to Saleeby-Stokes Field on Saturday, April 20th, as they will celebrate senior day vs. Catawba, with senior day activities beginning at 12:30 PM & first pitch scheduled for 1:00 PM.
