Cobras Fall At Home vs. Georgia College

The Coker University Softball Team hosted Georgia College on March 19th in a nonconference battle.

Game 1


The game started off with a scoreless first two innings, but Coker managed to take the lead in the bottom of the third when Kelsi Gollie drew a walk, allowing Payton Rainey to score.

Coker put up a strong effort with standout performances from players like Payton Rainey and Kelsie Golli. Pitcher Tibby Hessian battled through six innings, striking out two along the way.

Game 2

The bats came alive for the Cobras in the high-scoring contest. Coker was able to plate 12 runs in the game off of 15 hits, which included a six-run third inning.

Kelsi Scott, Abbie McCants, Kelsi Gollie, and Ashton Goodwin all contributed with 2 RBIs each on the day. Mya Cribbs contributed on the day with a 3 for 4 performance driving in an RBI and scoring two runs on the day. Gollie was able to also contribute a 2 for 4 days.

Up Next For Coker

Coker will head on the road on Thursday, March 21, as they will continue conference play as they will travel to face Limestone with the first pitch for the first game scheduled for 1:00 PM.
