Cobras Take Care of the Sand Sharks at Home

Hartsville, SC.- Coker went against the Sand Sharks Tuesday evening. The Cobras look to close out their season on a strong note as they get ready to wrap up their regular season this week. Softball took both games in a dominant fashion. This doubleheader is an out-of-conference matchup.
 
How it Happened Game 1: 
The Sharks were on the attack first as they scored at the top of the first taking a 1-0 lead. Kayla Oswell had a sacrifice fly scoring Ariana Fair tying the game up. Caitie Wray tripped into the right field scoring Brooklynn Stueness. Cameron Jackson doubled after her scoring Wray and giving Coker a 3-1 lead. The Sand Sharks scored again at the top of the third but it was no match for the Cobras bats that helped score three more runs. Jackson doubled again scoring Chloe Pelham and Stueness. At the bottom of the 6th Pelham scored Fair on a sacrifice fly making it 6-2 Coker for the win. 


How it Happened Game 2:

Coker started off where they left off in game 1 with Wray hitting a sac fly scoring Fair giving the Cobras a 1-0 lead. The Sand Sharks came back to take the lead 3-1 in the 3rd. Kayla Oswell with bases loaded walked cutting into the lead. Delaney Eaves cracked a single scoring two and give the Cobras a 4-3 lead at the bottom of the 3rd. The Sand Sharks tied the game up again the very next inning. Jackson singled in the 4th scoring Fair. Oswell doubled scoring Jackson, Pelham, and Stueness. Gracen Chambless scored on a wild pitch. Pelham scored two on a single as Fair and Mya Cribbs. Kelsey Gollie singled scoring Makenzie Harmon. The Cobras went on to win the game in five innings 12-4.
