ROCK HILL, S.C.- Hannah Price and Christine Carver were named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday (Feb. 27) for the week of Feb. 19-25.

This is both Price's and Carver's first selection of the season.

Senior third basemen Price helped lead the Cobras offensively during their 4-2 week. She hit an incredible .474, including two doubles, two home runs, scoring two runs, and six RBI. Price also had an on-base percentage of .500 and slugged .895 percent. Price, a Surfside Beach, S.C. native, is the daughter of Angie and Dan Price.

Christine Carver started off the week pitching a perfect game at Claflin, in which she struck out 11 of the 21 batters faced. In the second half of the double-header, she picked up the save in two and two-thirds innnings, allowing only one hit and striking out two. Carver's next outing was a complete game shutout of Lees-McRae, giving up two hits with five strikeouts. She finished the week with a 1.54 ERA, allowing five runs on 11 hits with 25 strikeouts in 22 and two-thirds innings of work. Carver, a sophomore from Waxhaw, N.C., is the daughter of Lisa and Mike Carver.
