Coker Drops Two at Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Coker Cobra softball team wrapped up its weekend road trip with a non-conference doubleheader at Augusta University on Sunday (March 12). The Cobras lost the first game 8-0 and then dropped the second game 3-0.

In game one, Tabitha Allen was tagged with the loss allowing eight runs on nine hits in four and two-thirds innings of work.

Riley Morris, Allyson High, Maria Williamson and Courtney Boan had a hit each to lead the Cobras at the plate.

In game two, High, Williamson, Boan and Tayler Barcomb were the offensive leaders with a hit apiece, while Taylor Forehand took the loss in the circle. She allowed three runs on six hits with three strikeouts.

The Cobras will return home for their next games on Saturday (March 19) when they host the Anderson Trojans in a South Atlantic Conference doubleheader starting at noon. The games will be Coker's first SAC contests of the season.
