Cobras Hoping to Regroup Against Fighting Scots

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker softball will be back at it again on Wednesday (Mar. 20) to host Edinboro University in a nonconference competition.  Live video broadcast of the game will be available at www.cokercobras.com

Coker (16-12, 9-5) came up short in their last competition against Millersville University, after dropping the doubleheader series 2-0.

Senior outfielder Sarah Rountree continues to get it done as the lead off hitter with an on base percentage of .378 and a batting average of .320.  Rountree leads the team in both categories. 

Junior Sydney Weatherford leads the team and the conference with 27 RBIs, and is batting .299 on the year.  Meanwhile, freshman Breanna Skipper leads the team and the conference with eight wins on the mound. 

Edinboro is 2-3 on the year, with a road record of 2-0.  Ashley Black leads the team in hitting with a batting average of .329.  

Game one of the double header will start at 2:00 p.m., followed by game two at 4:00 p.m.
